Renowned musicians of Pécs and Pannon Philharmonic’s members give a charity concert at the Ferenc Liszt Concert Hall of the University of Pécs on 4 February 2014 at 7pm.
The goal of this collaboration is to help the Eurakvilo Children Oncology and Children Hospice Foundation to have a parent rest room, where the family members can spend the waiting hours during their children hospital stays or treatments.
The organizer of this concert is Márta Deák, the concert master of the orchestra, who is going to host the evening and to try to make this charity successful even with her violin playing. The soloist of the concert are Marianna Váradi (DLA), singer of the National Theatre of Pécs, Ágnes Gyermánné Vass violinist, the Pannon Philharmonic’s Lifetime Member, Ágnes Herpay (DLA), the orchestra’s principal bassoonist, and Csaba Bencze Junior Prima Award winner trombonist.
Gergely Lukács, winner of a national tuba competition, student of the Béla Bartók Music High School in Budapest is going to play a solo. The young musician’s personal presence is the evidence that it is possible to get healed from the illness; and that the Eurakvilo Foundation can offer a big help to it.
The main patron of the event is Dr. Zsolt Páva, the mayor of Pécs; its patron is Prof. Dr. Pál Kajtár, children oncologist.
The concert’s organizers are welcoming everyone who wants to!
Tickets of a price of HUF 3000 can be purchased online at jegymester.hu and at the Kodály Centre box office, as well as at the venue on the concert’s date (from half an hour before the concert’s beginning).
