Donation to the Children of the Philippines

The international reputation of the Pannon Philharmonic also means that the orchestra's social responsibility does not stop at the country's borders. The ensemble is deeply touched and shocked by the recent news about the catastrophe on the Philippine Islands.

The Hayain typhoon took several thousand victims, among them parents, therefore it is inestimable how many children have been left alone, without family, home and refuge.
The Pannon Philharmonic joins to the “Adopt Me” programme of the Hungarian Baptist Aid, which frames the organization’ search for sponsors who help the Philippine children in need with HUF 3000 monthly support for a year.
At each of its upcoming three concerts, the orchestra offers 100 tickets for a price of HUF 3000; and offers the entire income, which would be get to the Adopt Me! Programme; with that, it supports 25 children of the Philippines, for a whole year.
The Hungarian Baptist Aid is using the donation for ensuring clean drinking water, medical aid, clothes, and regular daily meald for the children. As a second step, it is helping them to find their parents and relatives; then comes the orphans’ settling at foster families.
The concert that the Adopt Me tickets can be bought for:
MUSE & SZEGED on 21 November 2013, Thursday 7.00pm, Kodály Centre
ORCHESTRAL OBSESSION on 29 November 2013, Thursday 7.00pm, Kodály Centre
EUROPE & PANNON on 8 December 2013, Sunday 7.00pm, Kodály Centre

The helping will of the orchestra is not a novelty; e. g. in 2004, the ensemble published a CD, with the title ”Water”, for supporting the tsunami victims of Thailand; then, the money that had come in was submitted to the people in need by UNICEF.
Charity tickets can be purchased at the Kodály Centre box office
