On 6th June 2013, the Pannon Philharmonic’s 2012/2013 season ticket series are finishing. You are cordially invited to the season finale concert, where the audience can listen to a special marimba concerto!
Besides of playing a wonderful work of Mozart and another one of Strauss, the Pannon Philharmonic is closing the season with a real musical specialty. The pieces played on marimba are mostly transcriptions but now, the orchestra is performing the world-renowned marimba artist and composer of Serb origin, living in Germany, Nebojsa Jovan Zivkovic’s concerto written for marimba and orchestra – together with the composer. It is interesting that Nebojsa Jovan Zivkovic’s instrument is a “Stradivarius” among the marimbas; the valuable instrument was made especially for him, according to his demands, by the Japanese musical instrument manufacturing company Yamaha.
