They Are the Most Favourite Musicians

Every year, the Pannon Philharmonic’s audience votes for their most favourite members of the orchestra.

Also in this year, the ensemble announces winners in male and female categories.
In 2014, cellist Nóra Herczeg and trombonist János Csernik deserved “the most favourite” title. The announcement of the winners was –as always– on the reception after the New Year’s Concert. To the most favourite musicians, Director Zsolt Horváth congratulated first.

Nóra Herczeg cellist Born in 1985, in Budapest. She began playing the cello when she was 7, after the music school got admitted to Béla Bartók Music High School in Budapest; then studied and graduated at the University of Pécs. At these institutions’ symphonic orchestras, she was the principal cellist for years; in 2007, played several times with the Pécs String Orchestra, as a soloist. During her college years, she performed with the Pannon Philharmonic; since 2008, she has been a permanent member of the orchestra. She has participated at the ensemble’s BeanSack programme since 2013; from this season, she works for the success of the programme, which builds up the littlest ones’ love for music, as a founding member of the Buborék (Bubble) Quartet.

János Csernik trombonist Born in Mohács, in 1974. He got his high school diploma as a trombonist at the Art High School of Pécs, in 1992; graduated at Ferenc Liszt Music Academy, Pécs in 1996. During the music school years, he studied with József Dobos, at the high school with Sztefán Sztankov, and then at the academy, he polished his instrumental skills with Lóránd Vida. Since September 2013, he studies as a trombone teacher at the music Faculty of the University of Pécs. He has been a member of the Pannon Philharmonic since 1996 óta. Besides his orchestral job, he teaches at the Diabelli Art Foundation in Kozármisleny. He likes playing in an orchestra especially because of the great interpersonal and professional connections. His personal life is complete with his two children, Dávid Zakariás (10) and Eszter Zorka (7).
