We Play with Winners

The Pannon Philharmonic will play with world class soloist in its new season, too. The orchestra, which has had a permanent season ticket series for more than a decade, is announcing its new series, starting in autumn, with winners of international prizes and competitions of classical music, including Akiko Suwanai, Marie-Elisabeth Hecker, and Andrei Gavrilov. As demanded by the audience, the tickets, sought for years, can be purchased as early as in March.

In the 2016/2017 season, the memorable talents of the Olympiads of the international music scene are going to play together with the Pannon Pholharmonic. The audience of the series, reigning at the Müpa, can meet domestic world stars as well: e. g. with cellist László Fenyő, winner of the International Pablo Casals Cello Competition and Liszt Prize and Kossuth Prize winner pianist Gergely Bogányi. As a returning guest of the Pannon, Andreji Gavrilov, “the greatest pianist ever” is visiting Hungary; there will be on the stage of the Müpa Budapest Akiko Suwanai, who has won the International Tchaikovsky Competition as the youngest-ever violinist and the public of Budapest  can also see and hear Marie-Elisabeth Hecker’s cello playing, which has earned international success.

“We are playing together with winners whose victories were not final results as in sport but starts for invitations to the greatest music podiums of the world. Our soloists are coming from this premium-category team; we can be proud of that, says Zsolt Horváth, the Pannon’s director just elected for another five years.
