Wind Players Are the Favourite Musicians of the Year

Following the Pannon Philharmonic’s many-year-old tradition, the audience voted in 2012 for the favourite male and female musicians of the year. The audience honoured with the title Judit Tímár flutist and Mihály Laduver clarinettist.

Judit Tímár was born in Siófok; and studied at János Richter Music High School in Győr. During her years at college in Pécs, István Barth was her flute teacher; and in 1997, she graduated from the University of Miskolc of Franz Liszt Music Academy as a pupil of Gyula Csetényi. The emotional and professional ties brought her back to Pécs, where she actively participates in the city's musical life as a teacher, a soloist and a chamber musician.

Mihály Laduver Michael began to study music at the age of seven in Mohács School of Music; then continued his clarinet studies at the Pécs Arts Secondary School with Tamás Paláncz and later at the University of Pécs. After his years in Pécs, he was admitted to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.

Nothing shows better the talent of this clarinettist, who has been playing at the, Pannon Philharmonic since 2003, than that: at the New Year's Concert, taking over the role of Csaba Lukács, absent due to an illness, he had learned one of the hardest clarinet solo in barely 48 hours and surprised the audience with an astonishing performance.

The winners of these audience awards received their prizes at the reception after the New Year's Concert. Judit Tímár has got one of the music-inspired jewellery pieces of the jewel exhibition that was brought to life by the Silver Fever (Ezüstláz) Jewellery Gallery; while Mihály Laduver has got a present from the Danubius Hotels – and the certificates expressing the love and appreciation of the concert goers.
