About the Programme

The memorial ceremony of the 60-yea-jubilee of the revolution and freedom war is organized by the Pannon Philharmonic, the Zsolnay Heritage Management Nonprofit Ltd., and the National Theatre of Pécs jointly, at the Kodály Centre. In the programme, which is illustrated with theatrical element, you can hear Bartók’s "homesickness melody", the Concerto and Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, which was broadcasted by the Hungarian Radio continuously in the days of the freedom fight and has become a symbol of the revolutionary days, for the posterity.
