About the Programme
The history of wine songs dates back to antiquity; the accompanying intense emotions after wine consumption inspired the poets of the ancient times, as well. In tthe Hungarian literature and music, the genre became particularly popular in the 19th century. At this concert, the audience can hear a selection from the most important wine songs of the music history.
Prior to the gala concert, the winemakers of Villány will have a wine tasting show of their high-end wines, from 4:30pm.
The concert is a coproduction of the in Pécs Male Choir Foundation and the Pannon Philharmonic.
