About the Programme

In the recent years, the winner productions of the Armel Opera Festival could introduce themselves at the Opéra  Théatre  d’Avignon, France; but the theatre itself did not participate in the competition. For the 2016 Festival, the institution entered with the newest Péter Eötvös opera, directed by Róbert Alföldi. The Hungarian premiere of the opera Senza   Sangue, in Budapest, is featuring the Pannon Philharmonic. At the evening, as a tribute to the jubilee year, Béla Bartók’s The Bluebeard’s Castle is going to be performed, as well.
