Works by an American and an English composer inspired by the work by French Voltaire set in Germany and the work by ancient Greek Plato. All of this are performed in the interpretation of a Venezuelan soloist, an English conductor and a Hungarian orchestra – featuring the full splendour of the Western world. The show captures the most basic human emotions in many ways, and although each work came into being in the twentieth century, the history of mankind entwined with its philosophical thinking from the antiquity to the Enlightenment up to the turn of the century is recalled.
