About the Programme

Kobayashi Kenichiro, who is tied to Hungary with a thousand threads, will arrive this time in the Kodály Centre with a concert thematically divided into distinct parts. The first half of the evening, two works of the zenith of the Viennese classics can be heard. Then, both Kodály works on the programme, the suite version of Háry János (1926) and the Dances of Galánta (1933) are fine examples of the Hungarian composer’s more and more engagement to folk music, manifested from the 1920s onwards.
