About the Programme

An Easter gala concert, no music for lent. Thus, it features Pergolesi but not Stabat Mater and Bach and not the Passion. Pergolesi's mass follows the tradition rooted in baroque which, in the case of a festive mass, only elaborates the Kyrie and Gloria movements, but in such detail that the work is also sufficiently long and solemn, and it can even be performed on its own. This is crowned by Bach's work, also with the splendour of D-major, with intimate gratitude and large-scale choirs.
