In the role of La Traviata’s Giorgio Germont: Plácido Domingo – Open air performance

 

The world star is going to step onto stage in G. Verdi’s most popular opera, La Traviata, singing Giorgio Germont on June 24 at the Pécs Expo.
PLÁCIDO DOMINGO can be seen in an opera role on a Hungarian stage after thirty years again.
The title role will be played by one of the most important opera stars of today, MARINA REBEKA, who is performing in Hungary for the first time.  The soprano diva, who earned her world fame in the role of the Traviata’s Violetta Valery sings with thundering success in the opera houses of New York, London, Paris, Madrid, among others.
Alfredo Germont’s role will be sung by the celebrated tenor of the Los Angeles Opera, JOSHUA GUERRERO; designer of the show is GYÖRGY CSÍK, its choreographer BALÁZS VINCZE, directed by VIKTOR NAGY.
The Pannon Philharmonic is conducted by Eugene Kohn.
