About the Programme

Exam performance of the master programme students of the Music Faculty of the University of Pécs, featuring our orchestra.
The Pannon Philharmonic is −as in every year− helping the diploma performance of the opera students of the University of Pécs, this year as well.

The students of the Music Faculty can prove their talent at Mozart’s The Clemency of Titus, on April 26. The University Orchestra of the UofP will be conducted by Balázs Kocsár, principal music director of the Hungarian State Opera.

Director of the show, Gergely Romvári:
"I don’t like superficial viewers. It might be that Mozart was in a hurry; it could be that some parts were composed by Süssmayr but I am happy to say that the whole work is undeniably Mozartian. I mean: genial. The characters are living, the drama is strong, the music (because “if there’s no music than it’s just bullsh…”) is great. What else do we need? Six actors who dare to do anything. For this is the exam. It seriously matters."
