A good title often provides the key to a musical work. The adjective ‘Spring’ of Dubrovay’s symphony indicates the easy tone of the music. With the programmatic titling of his piece The Muse and the Poet, Saint-Saens introduced the two main characters at once: a violin (Sándor Jávorka) as a muse, with its melodies is inspiring the cello, the impersonator of the poet (Ádám Jávorka). The marking 'Romance' of Bruckner's Fourth Symphony almost says nothing that would not be immediately obvious in the music. This kind of 'wild romance' was typical for the 19th century German art: showing clean, pristine nature and the pleasures of fests, hunting, and rural life – interpreted by the Szeged Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Sándor Gyüdi.
