About the Programme
This unique initiative of the Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra was launched in 2009 and has become a real success story. The show has been already performed at the Budapest Sports Arena, the Margaret Island Open-air Stage, the Graz Stadthalle and almost every major concert venue of Budapest. At the concert with a programme compiled from film scores you can listen to works of the most famous movie music composers as John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Klaus Badelt, etc. In addition, in the repertoire, there are a number of classical works that became really known for the audience otherwise inexperienced in classical music by a famous movie (e.g. Sibelius: Finlandia - Die Hard, Wagner: Ride of the Valkyries - Apocalypse Now, Tchaikovsky: 1812 - V for Vendetta). There is a special feature of the concerts: in addition to the music pieces, teasers or live clips made from the given movies let experience more by showing the relationship between film and music.
