The guest performance of the ’musikFabrik’ in Pécs is promising a novel experience: the concert treats the audience with the Hungarian premieres of two late compositions of a legend of contemporary music, Karlheinz Stockhausen, who had been working with the ensemble until his death in 2007.
The ’musikFabrik’, of which home plant is in Cologne, was founded in 1990 and almost since then has been being counted as one of the most excellent and worldwide-sought interpreter of contemporary music for twenty years. The „factory’s” skilled workers, aka musicians have enriched the music literature with a number of premieres; and during the years, they have got into a close work relationship with almost every major composers of our – from Mauricio Kagel to Péter Eötvös. The instrumentalist ensemble, announcing and practising spiritual openness as a policy, builds up cooperation with the most diverse genres and most different representatives of the partner and relative art forms – whatever experimenting productions of dance, theatre, film, or literature artists they might be.
