About the Programme

This evening is a real delicacy for the lovers of Polish music. And talking about Polish composers, the name of Chopin inevitably comes into mind. But not only about the piano concerto featuring the evening, but also regarding the Four Polish Dance by Tansman included in the program, as the music composed by the twentieth-century composer was influenced by Polish music as well as Chopin, despite the fact that he spent most of his life in France. The same can be said of Szymanowski's music, but here, besides the Polish sound, there is a clear German orientation and the influence of Richard Strauss is also felt. Their music is a good example of how deeply Polish character is embedded in Polish culture.
