The Pécs audience could get a sample of the works of Levente Gyöngyösi, for tasting it. The young composer is the resident composer of the Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra, who monitors the work of the ensemble and writes them on commission. Ouvertura Sopianaensis, ordered by the orchestra, will have been made for the September concert. In the mid-1920s, Béla Bartók described himself with his dim mood to create a thing "like a man who has been a long, long time in bed, motionless." For making a "movement", he got a toss by listening to Stravinsky's Piano Concerto. After that, Bartók composed only piano concertos, one of them is the Piano Concerto No1. The work showing the impact of baroque concertos highlights the percussion feature of the piano; the folklore elements - although it is no folk tune in it – shine through the music. Dohnányi created his first Symphony (1901) looking up to his intellectual ancestors. Brahms's influence is omnipresent, but you can also find Kodály, Liszt and Bruckner's influences in it. With heroic, energetic, noble themes, and serene, meditative thoughts, the work composed in a traditional four-movement-form will be a convincing creation, in its diversity.
