About the Programme

All those who like the period of the turn of 19th and 20th centuries, should definitely attend this concert. Every work performed is a prominent piece representing all characterising the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, the late Romanticism and the Art Nouveau. A farewell by a long and rich century the overture for a new and unknown world are hanging around the works featuring the evening, offering a pleasant late-summer or early-autumn night experience to the audience. The program includes pieces by Mahler, who used to spend two years in Budapest at the turn of the century, Hubay influencing several generations of violinists, and Goldmark, better-known for his stage works, were all important figures of the music world of the era.
