Rade Mijatovic was born on April 25th 1986 In Lazarevac (Serbia). His first contact with accordion took place when he was five years old, playing folk music. When he was nine, he entered elementary musical school – piano section, since there was no accordion section in his hometown. When the section was finally opened Rade completed elementary musical school for accordion at the same time with the piano in the class of Professor Jovica Djordjevic.
Having come to Kragujevac in 2001 , he entered Music Gymnasium in the class of teacher Miljan Bjeletic, MA, with whom he was been successfully cooperating for four years now. During this period of education he has attended seminars of prominent, professors from the world’s accordion scene, such as Viaceslav Semionow, Boris Lenko, Jury Shishkin, Mika Vayrynen, Elisabeth Moser an others.
2005 he enrolls at the Music Higher School in Berne (Switzerland) led by Professor Teodoro Anzellotti. During his studies he participates in many festivals and cooperates with eminent orchestras such as Freiburg Symphony Orchestra, Frankfurt and Bern Symphony Orchestra. At the music festival Dietrich Buxtehude in Freiburg despite all the organists he gets awarded for the best performance of his music. He is very active performer of modern music where he played with many chamber ensembles in Switzerland and Germany, and also at the festival of modern music in Donau Eschinger in Germany.
2011 he graduated Master studies and is currently student at the Department of Master of Specialized Music Performance, also in Berne.

Besides these competitions, he played solo concerts at various festivals in Serbia, France, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Greece, Czech, Slovakia, Germany and many others.
