The fact that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a member of a freemason league is shown by such works as the Magic Flute or the Masonic Funeral Music (K.477). Although the freemasonic ideals are not tied to any traditional religion, the appearance of a Gregorian melody evokes the traditions of Catholic rituals.

Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach’s musical sensitivity and colour impress every listener. And if they wanted, he re-composed his works. So, he adapted his three cembalo concerto to cello; among them the Cello Concerto in A major, which is building a bridge between Baroque and Classic.

Before Antonín Dvořak got aboard towards the „New World”, his Klid (Silent Woods), which was originally written for piano four hands, were played at a farewell concert. It was so popular that a new version was born: the dreamy and lyrical cello music got an orchestral „robe”.

The “Prag” Symphony in D major (K.405) by Mozart is extraordinary with its three movements, among the Vienna Classicism’s deliberate four-movement-symphonies. The work with its refined composition rhymes to the Figaro’s eventfulness; on the other hand it forebodes the ominous atmosphere of the Don Giovanni.
