About the Programme

Our orchestra has followed with attention and supported the talents of the youth learning to play musical instruments. The music students of the University of Pécs, Faculty of Arts polish their talents under the wings of musicians at the orchestra’s rehearsals; the opera singer students also take their first steps on the stage of the Kodály Centre with the support of the Pannon Philharmonic.

The 2016/2017' season we can welcome such talented young conductors as well as Bence Uzsaly, grandson of the legendary music teacher of Pécs, Géza Pécsi, Péter Dobszay, grandson of the music historian László Dobszay, and at a charity concert in November: Gábor Farkas.

Every year within the framework of the concert series Masters and Their Pupils, there get into the centre of attention exceptional talents, who –-as they let on– would have their first orchestral experience with the Pannon Philharmonic and that turned to be dominant for their careers.
