"The Pirates of the Caribbean" features the main theme first sounded in 2003, between Hans Zimmer's Santa Monica studio walls, and there is hardly any film music lover who does not know it. The four-part film’s music got hot and cold from the critique: many people complained about its modern sound, which has not been found worthy of a film genre. The films’ music, however, with new and new motives, as well as a variety of additional instruments (cimbal, duduk, erhu, banjo and a variety of traditional brass and percussion) to the symphonic orchestra, is made really unique.

Perhaps the most popular series of novels of the 20th century do not need to be introduced to anyone. The film  music’ composer, John Williams said that few commission took him as much as to write accompaniment to Harry Potter’s story.  After the change of director Patrick Doyle took over the musical duties. He does not try to charm us with his wonderful melodies. With keeping Williams’ conventional instrumentation and performance, he could completely re-think the whole thing and bring new colour into the story.
