If all minuets of Haydn were played one after another, would they be long enough for dancing all night for them? Probably yes. This evening, the very first piece of the 24 orchestral minuets will be performed. Stravinsky's Violin Concerto a peculiarity, a cheerful neoclassical work, at the same time the order of its movements gives a special dramaturgy to it. Symphonic concerts, rarely feature works by Ferenc Lehár, but in this case Haydn's Minuet is accompanied by a Lehár waltz, while the concert ends with a piece which is a parallel and a contrast at the same time, a suite by Richard Strauss who was Lehár’s contemporary, yet the piece conjures a completely different atmosphere.
